Well E3 has started, and already reviews are coming in. The result so far is, bland at best. Without the pizzazz of previous E3’s, the loss of huge crowds of fans, the tone has been racheted down significantly.
Of course a quieter, less over-the-top E3 was the goal of this year. Fewer companies, more meetings and less coverage. It all adds up to the expectations of some of the new games coming out. It may be best said here,
Not the most intriguing introduction to an event that has for years been an attention getter among video game enthusiasts.
Well there is no doubt that Halo 3 will be a hit. Even if it can’t improve on Halo 2, it’s a great game (and it has a huge following which us why a movie is being made based on it). Killzone 2 sounds decent, but unimpressive. As for GTA4, I disagree with the series based on it’s consistent portrayal of African Americans in some of the worst ways possible. I have a bias so if it fails I’d be happy and I accept that I’m in the minority with that opinion.
Hopefully later news will be far more exciting.
