Pooyan power!

Made in 1981, this was fun game where a mother pig needs to defend her clan against invading wolves and rescue those who were taken hostage. It’s got two types of stages: one, where you need to shoot down the interlopers with arrows as they’re coming down from the cliff before they land, and then where you need to shoot them down before they sail to the top. First before they manage to establish a presence of four or five wolves on the ladder behind you, and then before they manage to establish at least ten on the cliff above and push the giant rock down upon you.
“Pooyan”, incidentally, is the Japanese word for “little pigs”. Notice the special flashing piece of metal above the cable car the mother pig is on? Well, by taking it when several wolves arrive and then timing your attack well, you can throw it down so that it hits several in a row. On later stages, as the game becomes more difficult, you need to be careful not to hit some pegs that can appear above or beneath your cable car, or it can knock you to the ground just like the enemies’ own rocks that they throw at you.
Let those wolves have what’s coming to them, mama pig!
