Toki taping

An enjoyable and well regarded platform game, the game has an evil wizard named Vookimodo plotting to take over a jungle county in a magical country. Only a prominent warrior named Toki stands in his way, so with the assistance of one of his minions, Vookimodo kidnaps Toki’s girl Friday, Miko, and turns the hero into an ape. What he hadn’t counted on was that the spell would also provide Toki in ape form with special firepower, which the hero uses to his advantage as he treks across 6 stages to defeat the evil wizard and rescue his lady and restore his regular form.
The game also features a few good tongue-in-cheek elements, such as when the boss on the third stage launches stone letters in the form of B-U-R-P, and also some powerup items like the football helmet, which can guard against some, if not all, enemy attacks.
The last stage is especially challenging, since you can only continue 3 more times when you get there, so you need to have plenty of skill in order to complete the game successfully.
Since this is a home computer format of the game, some of the animated effects were left out, such as when Toki raises his arm in victory celebration and when he returns to human form, but it’s still very well done for a home version. The game itself was designed by a small software designer called TAD Corporation and this home version was developed by the European-based Ocean Software and Amiga. They did a pretty good job in developing the home version.
