This was one of the most charming games of the mid-80s. Two young boys named Bub and Bob have been turned into bubble-blowing dinosars by an evil wizard who’s kidnapped their girlfriends, and they have to trek across a number of stages in order to rescue them and restore their regular forms. Blowing bubbles can be used for a few different purposes, the main one being to entrap all those odd-looking monsters you need to deal with on many of the stages and then knock them out, resulting in plenty of fruit you can get for extra points. You can also jump and float on top of the bubbles to reach platforms that are too high to reach with standard jumps.

It’s a lucky thing that Taito was able to retrieve the main code data for this game, which they lost several years after they’d produced it and then had to rummage through one of the copies they had in order to re-record it. This is one of the best and most challenging adventures games you can find.
