If Zaxxon was the first game with isometric graphics, then I, Robot was the first with really 3-D ones. You guide a robot whose object is to defeat Big Brother, and to do this you need to travel through some very sophisticated 3-D lanes in space.
Despite having one of the best gameplay programs and designs of its time, I, Robot, unfortunately, failed to attract much of a crowd when it was first released in 1983. Hopefully, it’s gained more of a following since then. I certainly hope it has, since it’s a very enjoyable and challenging game, and deserved better attention than it first got.
