Real Bout recordings

Following shortly after Fatal Fury 3, SNK decided to use the name they’d initially considered for the games, Real Bout, and add it to the beginning of the titles they’d use on at least three more entries they’d do for this series. First came Real Bout Fatal Fury, of which we have a brief clip here:
What made this game unique is that it’s one of the very few 2-D games where you have a “ring out” feature included! They also provided Mai Shiranui with another victory pose in which she dresses in an elegant kimono. Yum.
Then came Real Bout Fatal Fury Special.
I don’t know if this had any ring feature, but it certainly did make Geese Howard, here a special secret boss that takes a lot of skill to reach, most menacing indeed. To reach him here, your skill result on every stage cannot be lower than possibly rank B+. And with those projectiles, here more dangerous than even his knockdown blow, that’s what makes him very hard. If you can’t beat him, the game ends then and there.
Then came Real Bout 2: The Newcomers:
This went back to just two planes to fight on, but did introduce at least two new players: Rick Strowd and Li Xiangfei.
There’d be at least two more games featured in this series, the 3-D based Fatal Fury: Wild Ambition, and Garou: Mark of the Wolves, which I’ll try to find some info on later.
