This is where it all began, for the long-running series of 3-and-3 fighting games starring a whole bunch of characters from not only SNK’s other fighting franchises, but also from a few other action games they’d made in past years as well. Here’s some recordings that feature mainly the endings for all the trio teams:
Japan team:
Mexico team:
Italy team:
USA team:
Korea team:
Brazil team:
China team:
Britain team:
This was the first game of its sort where you battle using teams of 3. During gameplay, it was possible for a player on the sidelines to jump in and knock down an opponent at times too. Among the innovations were that you could “sidestep” an attack and also use the super attacks at almost any time during gameplay. The ruthless boss here, Rugal Bernstein, was certainly formidable, and would return at least one more time in the following installment. And the game would go on to inspire many more entries that I’ll be dedicating posts to as well in time.
