Now it’s time for a taping of the third game in this classic series, also called Pang 3. In six parts, here it is:
This is the most colorful design I’ve seen so far for this game, with semi-3D graphics, most brilliant ones too at that. In the 3rd installment, you have a choice of four players, Don Tacos, Captain Hog, Sheila the Thief, and Mr. Dandy Lightfingers. All these characters use different weapons and have different advantages and disadvantages. There are more funny animals around who can cause problems as you’re going around trying to clear all the bubbles, yet they can sometimes provide help as well (and so can the bubbles!). And, with a little practice, you can even work at getting the highest score possible here by using up all your turns and finishing off the last bubble when you’re down to your last turn, as seen in the last parts of this recording here. There are also moving belts, teleports, shields, point icons, and plenty of other great stuff to find.
It’s most utterly brilliant, and a joy to play. Let the pangs sound in celebration, everybody!
