An early racer, the kind that worked on Discrete Logic software, this was an early entry of Sega’s in the racing genre, and may have been an inspiration for Data East’s Bump ‘n Jump in 1982. The following year, they produced Pro Monaco GP, and then, in 1989, they produced Super Monaco GP, which can be seen here:
In this excellent sequel, you first run a special round to determind what position you’ll start in when the real race begins. It’s quite a difficult game, but it’s still quite wonderful and challenging.
