Okay, here’s a recording of a full game playthrough of the 1999 entry of this classic fighting series:
This time, we find a strange guy named Krizalid or something like that plotting to rule the earth by installing a whole bunch of Kyo Kusanagi klones all across the globe. And the real Kyo, it appears, is missing, replaced by a number two copy on the menu!
The gameplay mechanics this time feature a selection of teams with four members. It’s still 3-on-3, but with extra ability of having a “striker” charge into the action and try to counter the opponent. This may only be possible for a limited amount of times. On the 2nd round versus Krizalid, that tornado circle he whips up can certainly be dangerous. And interestingly enough, if I’ve noticed correctly, the time meter has less seconds on it when facing this last boss than the regular battles do. Hmm.
